When servicing my motorcycle, I decided to check the operation of the fuel filter under the fuel filler. After removing it, I found dark particles at the bottom of the filter. As I mentioned, fuel in Europe is not too bad, but as you can see in the pictures, various particles can be transferred into the tank with it. The photos show only part of the dirt because the looser elements fell out when I turned the filter to the other side. The pre-filter does a good job.
I also received a pre-filter for the Safari Tanks – from Profill Australia ?. Previously, I planned to have a standard filter mounted in the fuel line, but seeing the effects from the main tank I picked a solution that I know is doing a great job.
