Plastic bombastic
Damn, to mount an engine guard made of plastic onto such a motorcycle?? Someone at KTM marketing/sales department took care of future accessory parts sale. The genuine guard may be good enough for everyday use, but it will fall apart with a stronger impact. For me, a compulsory exchange. (more…)

Our first off-road trip
The first time met with success!
Winter is behind us, the birds are coming promising a warmer (hopefully!) season of the year, the day is getting longer and we can start to get used to our motorbikes in the terrain. Last season was a garage time to learn their construction and content as well as preparation, repairing and service. Now is a good time to test them! (more…)

Rocker arms
Engine annihilation
It happens that in earlier models the rocker arms can fail causing devastation in the engine. Manufacturing defect, material, construction? There are many theories. It is not that bad if bearing collapses on a rocker and the owner quickly catches the strange noise from the engine. Worse if the arm cracks spreading broken bits further in the engine.
